Smoothies are great for breakfast. They are fast, fresh and delicious. I love how you can add whatever you like into smoothies. Peaches and strawberries have clean fresh flavours that make the smoothie light but still filling. When I ran out of strawberries I made a peach and mango smoothie which was also very yummy but the mango made it quite heavy. Feel free to play around with flavours and see what you like best. I made the recipe up myself after seeing what went into a basic smoothie.
Here is the recipe:
Ingredients (per person):
1 cup of strawberries
2 yellow flesh peaches
Large spoonful of greek yogurt
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp maple syrup or honey
Splash of milk
Prepare your fruit first by washing and chopping it into large chunks. Place it in a bowl and get your blender ready.
Place your fruit, yogurt and chia seeds into the blender and whizz until smooth.
Add the maple syrup or honey to sweeten and a splash of milk. Blend again and serve.
